The brutal killings of Michael Brown, Trayvon Martin, and John Crawford (just to name a few) are the driving forces for “The Dream Vest”, a campaign created for The Dream Defenders to mobilize young voters to make a difference in the November 2014 elections. Issues include criminalization and police brutality against young African American teens and to reform the "Stand Your Ground" law in Florida.
The Dream Vest campaign launched with a PSA and a physical billboard appearing to sell the Dream Vest, a fake promotional sale for a child's bulletproof vest. The social media components follow the same look and feel of a sales ad with the included #VoteOrVest hashtag to follow the conversation. Logo, website, PSA and all social media visuals were created exclusively by The brpr Group.

RESULTS: In the first day alone, it gained 2,000 impressions and a featured article/tweet from Buzz Feed.
